Description

Ficus Deltoidea

Ficus Deltoidea, commonly known as the Mistletoe Fig, is one of Southeast Asia’s most distinctive and versatile plants — a living testament to the rich botanical heritage of the region. Originating from Malaysia, Indonesia, and the Southern Philippines, Whatflower this evergreen species has earned a devoted following among plant collectors, indoor gardeners, and bonsai enthusiasts worldwide, and it’s easy to understand why.

What makes Ficus Deltoidea immediately recognizable is its foliage. The leaves are thick and deltoid in shape, rounded at the apex and tapering at the base, with a dark, shining green upper surface and a golden yellow underside marked with distinctive black spots. Wikipedia No two leaves are ever quite the same — leaf size and shape can vary quite drastically even on a single plant, ranging from triangular to ovate to sometimes lance-shaped, Steve’s Leaves giving each specimen its own unique character.
