Description

Brownie Jade 118 – Introduction
Bucephalandra Brownie Jade 118 comes directly from the wild river systems of Borneo. Numbered and traceable, this single intact specimen carries the density and character that only years of natural growth can produce. No tissue culture. No farm-grown cutting. Just a genuine wild plant, built by fast-moving water over bare rock.
The leaves are small and rounded, sitting in dense clusters along a branching rhizome that spreads outward in every direction. The surface reads dark green with a glossy finish — warmer and richer in tone than the cooler blue-green of other Brownie varieties. Under aquarium lighting, that warmth intensifies, giving the clump a deep jade quality that holds consistently across every leaf. New growth pushes from multiple points simultaneously, arriving as bright lime green tips that gradually deepen to match the mature foliage. A plant actively producing new leaves in this quantity is a plant that thrives.
