Description

Dark Wavy 109 – Introduction
Bucephalandra Dark Wavy 109 comes directly from the wild river systems of Borneo. Numbered and traceable, this single intact specimen carries the density and character that only years of natural growth can produce. No tissue culture. No farm-grown cutting. Just a genuine wild plant, built by fast-moving water over bare rock.
The leaves are broad and elongated, with a strongly pronounced wave running the full length of each edge — the most assertive wave pattern in this series, giving each leaf a deeply crinkled, textured quality that no flat photograph fully captures. The coloration sits at the darkest end of the Wavy spectrum. Near-black to very dark blue-green across every mature leaf, with a strong metallic sheen that shifts under aquarium lighting in a way that rewards close, sustained attention. Reddish-brown stems push that contrast further, separating the dark foliage from the structure beneath it cleanly and deliberately.
