Description

Green Light 57

Bucephalandra Green Light 57 is a rare and captivating aquatic plant that brings a fresh burst of vibrant green to any freshwater aquarium. Its lush green leaves shimmer with an iridescent glow under aquarium LED lighting, creating a bright and lively focal point that stands out against darker plants and hardscape materials. For aquascapers looking to add natural freshness and luminous color to their layout, this variety is a standout choice.

This plant belongs to the Bucephalandra genus, a group of rheophytic epiphytes native to the tropical rainforests of Borneo. Like all members of its family, it anchors itself to hard surfaces such as rocks and driftwood rather than rooting in substrate. This growth habit makes it highly versatile for aquascape design. It sits naturally along hardscape edges, across open rock faces, and tucked into driftwood crevices.

Care is straightforward and beginner-friendly. Green Light 57 thrives in low to moderate lighting and tolerates a wide range of water parameters. It grows well without CO₂ injection. Adding CO₂ alongside a consistent fertilizer routine encourages faster, denser growth and intensifies its bright green coloration. Good water flow keeps the leaves clean and supports steady development over time.
