Lycopodium is one of 16 genera in the family Lycopodiaceae, with between 9 and 15 species. And the broadly defined genus is equivalent to the subfamili Lycopodioideae. The geographical distribution of this plant is wide, especially in tropical areas. Usually found on damp, slightly watery cliffs. A collection of dried wire nails is usually used as a place to attach decorative flower arrangements.
