Description
Bucephalandra Venus Bloom 97 comes directly from the wild river systems of Borneo — numbered, traceable, and collected as a single intact specimen. Not a tissue culture clone. Not a farm-grown portion. A genuine wild plant that arrives at a moment most aquarium plants never reach — blooming, not once, but multiple times simultaneously.
That is what sets this specimen completely apart. While a single flower bud signals a healthy, thriving plant, multiple buds forming at the same time signals something far less common — a plant operating at its absolute peak. Venus Bloom 97 carries that energy into every photograph, every listing, and every tank it enters.
The leaves are among the darkest in the entire Venus series. Near-black on mature growth, glossy and lacquered, they absorb light rather than reflect it — creating a depth and intensity that lighter varieties simply cannot match. New growth pushes through in deep burgundy and red before slowly darkening to that signature near-black tone. That transition from red to dark, happening across multiple shoots at once, gives the whole clump a living, dynamic quality that changes week by week.
