Description

Bucephalandra Broad Wavy 54 is a farm-grown aquatic plant that brings bold texture and lush green color to any freshwater aquarium. It takes the beloved characteristics of the classic Bucephalandra Green Wavy and scales them up, producing broader leaves with the same distinctive ruffle-edged appearance that makes this variety so popular among aquascapers.
The leaves display a rich, deep green hue that adds strong contrast to the midground of a planted tank. Under aquarium LED lighting, the leaf surface can show a subtle iridescent quality, giving the plant an added layer of visual interest. Its medium size makes it a flexible choice — substantial enough to anchor a layout without overwhelming smaller tank inhabitants or neighboring plants.
Like all Bucephalandra, Broad Wavy 54 grows as an epiphyte. It anchors itself to hard surfaces such as rocks and driftwood rather than rooting into the substrate. Simply attach the rhizome using fishing line, thread, or aquarium-safe glue, and the plant takes care of the rest. Never bury the rhizome in substrate, as this causes it to rot.
