Description
Cryptocoryne eunoii is a rare and highly collectible aquatic plant endemic to the island of Borneo, Indonesia. It grows naturally in the slow-moving, tea-colored peat streams and shaded lowland forest waterways of Kalimantan, where it represents just one species among the remarkable and diverse Bornean crypts that have captivated aquatic plant enthusiasts around the world.
As with many of its Bornean relatives, C. eunoii demands respect and patience. It thrives exclusively in soft, acidic water that closely replicates the humus-rich, mineral-low conditions of its native peat bog habitat. Hard or alkaline water causes rapid deterioration, making it unsuitable for standard community aquarium setups.
